Fresh faces from the local community are to make their views on Belfast City Airport heard. Three places for a 5 year stay were available on the airport’s forum, a consultative body established in 1993. The non decision-making body comprises of local community groups, public authorities, airport management and airport users. The places will be filled over the next few weeks after a applications were submitted last week.
Alan Crowe, the current chair of the forum, said: ‘Belfast City Airport is aware of the impact its operations have on its local community, and aims to address these through the forum. It is very important that the views of residents are heard and that information about the airport is fed back to the community.’
