A large number of hotels near Birmingham Airport offer free airport parking after (or before) one nights stay - which (because you get 'free' airport parking) can mean that an overnight stay at a hotel works out almost as cheap or even cheaper than buying airport car parking.
There is only one on airport hotel (the Novotel), plus 6 hotels near the NEC (which are 5 - 10 minutes away, depending on traffic) and a further 10 or so hotels close to the airport and offering a hotel plus parking package (or without parking, if that is what you need).
Holiday Extras: (click on the name to jump to the website) offer a wide choice, with up to 15 hotels, and great rates for hotels at or near the airport. They offer the widest choice of 'with parking' packages, and so are a good first stop.
Holiday Extras prices range from less than £60 for one night in a double room at the 3 star Premier Inn and £89 for one night at the 4 star Crowne Plaza hotel at the Birmingham NEC (again including 15 days parking). The 4 star Hilton Metropole (again at the NEC) is also available from only £89.

APH: to make sure you get the best deal, compare the prices at Holiday Extras and FHR with the hotels on offer at APH (again click on the name to jump to the website), especially if you are looking for a family room.
The prices at APH start slightly below Holiday Extras and they feature offers on family rooms more often too. They usually have double rooms from £70 including 8 days parking at the Coventry Hill Birmingham.

Superbreak - a UK hotels website with a good choice of birmingham airport hotels - including some not offered by the other 3. Superbreak also offer a wider choice of room types, including single and twin rooms, and are particularly cheap if you don't need airport parking.
