A cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Birmingham Airport yesterday after suffering engine failure, the Birmingham Mail reports. One of the plane's engines failed and the pilot elected to make the emergency landing at around 01:00.
The airport initiated a full emergency and 5 West Midlands Fire Engines were dispatched to the airport as backup to its own fire service. The emergency was stood down after the pilot landed safely. An investigation into the incident is underway.
