Plans for a new Bristol Airport hotel, part of its £150m redevelopment programme, have been approved by North Somerset Council. The new airport hotel will have 250 bedrooms, and is scheduled to open in late 2012. It will be a four storey building including a bar, restaurant and meeting rooms.
The hotel will be 100m from the airport terminal, offering passengers a quick and easy stroll to the airport. Pricing will be higher than the competitors due to the advantages of its location. Objections to the hotel related to the impact of additional traffic on the area, but this was outweighed by the benefit of the 125 new jobs that will be created.
