Busy weekend at East Midlands Airport

East Midlands Airport is enjoying its busiest weekend of the summer, with 86,500 passengers passing through the airport between Friday and tomorrow. This represents an increase of 0.8% compared to the same weekend last year.

A spokesman for the airport said: ‘More people are looking to travel this year, which is a positive indication for our overall performance for August. The most popular destinations from East Midlands Airport for this Bank Holiday are Palma, Malaga and Alicante.'
