Delta Air Lines has announced that it will not operate a summer service between Edinburgh Airport and Atlanta because of the increased cost of fuel. The route was due to start in May; the airline will continue its Edinburgh - New York flights.
A spokeswoman for the airline said: ‘As a result of the increase in fuel prices over the last year, Delta is working to ensure that routes are operating as fuel-efficiently as possible. Scotland remains an important market to us.'
