easyJet launch night check-in at Gatwick

easyJet has launched a new night check-in service at Gatwick, where it is the biggest airline, that enables passengers with an early morning to check-in the night before departure – ideal for those staying in an airport hotel the night before an early flight.

The budget airline launched the service after a survey of 1000 passengers found 31% have missed an early morning flight.  Almost half said early morning check-in made them anxious, with 1 in 4 passengers getting less than 3 hours sleep as they were afraid they would miss the flight.

Passengers can check in hold baggage and collect their boarding pass so that in the morning they can go straight to the departure lounge. The service is available for flights taking off before 08:30 and allows passengers to check-in from 20:00 the night before departure.
