Gatwick announce contractors for £1bn upgrade

Gatwick has selected the contractors it will use for its planned £1bn modernisation programme. The 3 year agreements will cover approximately 50 projects including upgrades to the North Terminal, new aircraft pier facilities and the redevelopment of the South Terminal baggage centre.

The civil engineering consultants selected are: Arup; Halcrow; Jacobs; Scott Wilson and TPS. The value of the work packages will be up to £10m. The architectural suppliers are: Atkins; HOK; Jacobs; Morgan Sindall Professional Services; Pascal & Watson. All of the framework deals could be extended by up to 2 years.
