Virgin to boost winter Caribbean services
28.08.10
Virgin Atlantic is to increase its capacity on Caribbean routes for the winter 2011 / 12 season. The changes mean it will operate 24 round-trips on Boeing 747 planes to the Caribbean each week next winter.
From Gatwick, new weekly services to Tobago and Grenada will take off on October 31 next year and an additional Saturday flight to Havana will take off from November 5. The airline will also fly twice weekly from Manchester to Barbados from November 4 next year.
An airline spokesman said: 'We are delighted to be announcing these additional services to Barbados, Havana, Tobago and Grenada for our winter 2011 season schedule. Caribbean routes are among our most popular and these extra flights offer passengers more flexibility for their holiday itineraries.'
