Location: the Gatwick Hilton Hotel is excellently located next to the South Terminal at Gatwick Airport, and is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway. Transfers to the North Terminal are by monorail that runs constantly between the two terminal buildings.
Bedrooms: rooms at the Gatwick Hilton have individually controlled air conditioning, triple glazing for soundproofing, satellite TV with pay movies, flight arrivals and departures on TV, Sony Playstation (pay to play), Internet access and complementary tea and coffee making facilities.
Eating: informal dining at any of the Gatwick Hilton hotel's three bars or more formal dining at the hotels two restaurants, Amy's Restaurant (international menu) or the Garden Restaurant (al a carte menu).
Hotel facilities: a livingwell express gym plus an executive floor including a lounge with broadband internet access. (NB: the hotel no longer has a swimming pool).
We like (about the gatwick hilton): the room rates are good, especially 'off peak' and it's extremely convenient - there is a 2 minute commute from the hotel to the check-in desks.
We don't like (about the gatwick hilton): there is no parking at the hotel (you need to park and pay at an airport car park), the bars and restaurants are very expensive, as is £5 per hour to use the playstation.
