Quick guide: The Sofitel Gatwick is a modern, 4 star hotel, with 494 rooms and suites, attached to the North Terminal. It is smaller than the Gatwick Hilton (the other on airport hotel, which is attached to the South Terminal) and its room rates are often lower. Given that it is only a 2 minute transfer to the South Terminal, if you want to be on airport, it is certainly one to check.
The Sofitel has the highest glass ceiling atrium in Europe, and its lobby is built in the style of a Parisian street scene, complete with boulevards, a sidewalk, cafes and bars. There is also a health club with an indoor swimming pool and, for those in a hurry, you can check out via the TV in your room.
Expect to pay (for a double room) from £85 room only or £95 - £145 or more depending on the time of year including including up to 15 days parking. To get the best price, make sure you compare prices at all of the suppliers (click on the one click quotes link just below).
