easyJet introduces 4 new routes from Gatwick and 2 from Manchester Airport this week.
Flights from Gatwick to Mykonos, which will operate twice weekly (Sunday and Thursday), took off yesterday, and daily flights to Montpellier start today. Then on Sunday, the budget airline will start a weekly service to Ajaccio and to Bastia.
From Manchester easyJet launched a daily service to Malaga yesterday (with 1 way fares from £29.99), and a twice weekly service to Crete (Tuesday and Friday) today (one way fares from £32.99). The airline expects to carry 123,000 passengers on the two new routes in the next 12 months.
David Osborne, easyJet’s UK General Manager, said: ‘easyJet has seen a huge increase in flights to summer sun destinations this year, re-enforcing our position as the favourite airline for independent travellers, providing convenient low-cost flights from your local airport.’
