Tesco has picked Glasgow as the location for its first ever UK airport store. It will open a Tesco Express in domestic arrivals at the airport this year, creating 20 jobs. Rival M&S already operates food stores at a number of UK airports, including Luton, via a partnership with SSP.
The new 24-hour Tesco store will cater for last-minute travel purchases as well as returning passengers who need to buy groceries before going home. The range offered will include dairy products, ready meals, bread, sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Prices will be the same as in high street Tesco Express stores across the UK, which is great news for passengers and staff.
