BA has signed an agreement with India's Kingfisher Airlines to codeshare on a number of flights across India, Sri Lanka, the UK and Europe from September 15. The deal means both airline's passengers can now book their whole journey on one website, with seamless transfer between flights.
BA's code will be placed on 11 domestic routes in India and one route to Sri Lanka operated by Kingfisher. Kingfisher's code will be placed on nine BA routes from Heathrow within the UK and Europe.
BA Chief Executive Willie Walsh said, ‘This new codeshare relationship with Kingfisher further enhances our relationship after their decision join Onewold [the airline alliance]. We look forward to working with them.’
