Delta is increasing its frequencies on routes between Heathrow Airport and the US. The airline is to add a second daily flight between Heathrow and Atlanta 4 days a week and also between Heathrow and Detroit 3 days a week. The new flights will start from November 1 and be available for sale from September 21.
The extra Atlanta flights will depart each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and the extra Detroit flights each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. They will be operated using a Boeing 767 aircraft with 36 seats in BusinessElite and 180 in Economy.
Delta has previously announced the addition of a third daily flight between Heathrow and New York JFK from September 20. The airline said all of the extra flights are part of ongoing efforts to better serve business customers. It is not clear where it got the slots from to operate the new flights, but we are guessing it is renting them from BMI.
