Heathrow will host its first British food fortnight next week, celebrating the best of the country's cuisine. Between August 26 and September 12, twenty of the airport's restaurants will take part in the festival, offering passengers anything from traditional afternoon tea to a specially brewed English ale.
Gordon Ramsay Plane Food at T5 will offer specially created 3 course mea, including beetroot and English goat's curd with toasted walnuts and pesto followed by pan-fried sea bream with wild garlic and spring onion mash and tomato dressing. The new Harlequin restaurant and ale house in T1 will also be serving an ale specially brewed for the event alongside favourites including Old Peculier, Waggle Dance and Bishop's Finger.
A spokesman for the airport said: ‘As the global gateway of the UK, we are well placed to promote British food and culture to international visitors.’
