BA's passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometers, decreased 7 percent to 8.26 billion in January, compared to 8.87 billion in 2009. Its passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometers, was reduced by 8.3 percent to 11.13 billion, compared to 12.13 billion in January 2009.
These two items combined say BA's total passenger load factor for January increase by one percentage point to 74.2 percent. Cargo, measured in cargo ton kilometers increased 6.5 percent to 346 million.
