Property group Peel paid an undisclosed sum for the Holiday Inn at Liverpool Airport, taking the number of hotels it owns to 7 (with a further hotel in development). Peel Leisure bought the hotel from Liverpool based hotel franchisee Centre Island.
Peel Leisure said in a statement: 'The move is part of our strategy of owning and operating hotels in and around Peel Group's other business assets. It is also consistent with Centre Island's own strategy to focus on large town centre and city centre hotel developments.'
