More than 750 hackney cab drivers have registered to work at Liverpool Airport. 450 of them have also taken the 08 Capital of Culture Welcome course.
Liverpool Airport started its Airport Black Cab scheme a year ago. Drivers have to comply with an agreed code of conduct, and have also been encouraged to go on the cabbies ’08 Welcome course jointly organised by Merseytravel, Liverpool Culture Company and the Transport and General Workers Union.
