easyJet has completed the operational integration of GB Airways planes. The enlarged airline has become the first major airline in Europe to operate under the new European operating certificate.
Overnight last weekend - from Saturday 29 March to Sunday 30 March - all 15 of the GB Airways aircraft were transferred onto easyJet’s new EU-Ops Air Operators Certificate. The process involved more than 100 people at Gatwick and Manchester airports removing all BA branding and flight operating materials from the aircraft and replacing them with those of easyJet.
A spokesman for the airline said that the 157 aircraft in the newly-enlarged easyJet fleet 'have been operating smoothly under a single set of flight procedures since early Sunday morning.'
