easyJet has added destination services offering to its website, signing a partnership with Viator. The deal, which will also see Viator products featured on the easyJet Holidays website, will see destination tours, expeditions, museum tickets and other activities from 50 markets throughout Europe and North Africa offered to easyJet passengers.
The move will increase competition between Viator and its growing European opponent Isango, which signed a similar partnership with easyJet's rival Ryanair earlier this year, and follows the recent signing of airport transfer deals with rival companies by both airlines.
easyJet’s partnership manager Leo Purcell said: ‘We are delighted to be working with an experienced company like Viator to provide our passengers with the ability to pre-book the activities they want to experience in their destination.’
Viator founder and chairman Rod Cuthbert said: ‘Researching and purchasing destination activities before travel is easier than ever, and it’s never been more important, as more and more travellers are already doing so, often leading to limited availability at popular attractions.’
