CSA Czech Airlines has released its 2010 - 11 winter schedule, and signaled a change in its network philosophy to focus on offering an East-West air bridge rather than flights to a high number of destinations throughout Europe. Significantly, from October 31 Heathrow and Manchester will all be dropped from its network, along with Brno, Munich and Cologne / Bonn.
The airline will also reduce flights from Prague to Ostrava, Bratislava, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Zurich, Bologna, Vilnius, Oslo, and Copenhagen and downgrade Marseille, Thessaloniki, and Venice to summer only routes rather than year-round services as now. CSA will increase the flights it operates from Prague to Belgrade, Brussels, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Athens, Beirut and St. Petersburg.
