Manchester Airport is inviting members of the public to submit photographs for it to make use of to generate a new 'arrivals experience. It is asking local people to supply photographs of the people and places of Greater Manchester, that will be displayed to create a 'sense of place' for passengers as they arrive at the airport. People who would like to put forward their photos can do so on the Manchester Airport Flickr group, and will see them put on display in the hub's Terminal One.
Sarah Barrett, head of customer experience at Manchester Airport, said: 'We aim to offer a world-class experience for passengers and part of this entails letting them inform us what thery would like to see. As the main gateway to the region we also want tourists arriving at our airport to experience the friendly welcome the north is traditionally famed for.'
