Birmingham and Manchester airports were closed earlier this morning following fresh snowfalls overnight. Manchester Airport was shut at around 07:00 due to concerns about the runway after several inches of snow fell overnight and wasx still closed at 09:00.
Some flights from the East Midlands were delayed this morning, and Leeds Bradford Airport was closed for a period too. All of the airports reopened during the morning as weather conditions improved, but some flights delayed and others diverted.
