Two new long-haul routes will take off from Newcastle Airport this weekend. Thomsonfly flights to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Cancun in Mexico take off for the first time on Sunday and Monday respectively.
Chris Sanders, head of airline relations and development at Newcastle Aairport, said: ‘Since last summer we have worked hard to develop our long-haul route network. We are very pleased to announce even more scheduled flights to some beautiful destinations across the world.’
