Norwich Airport has seen passenger numbers jump over the bank holiday weekends, the EDP reports. Passengers taking flights over the last two weeks were up by almost 60% compared to the same period last year, as travellers took advantage of the four bank holidays.
Andrew Bell, the airport's chief executive, told the newspaper: ‘I am pleased so many local people took advantage of the opportunity to take an 11 day break using just 3 days’ annual leave. I am also pleased so many chose to jet off from their local airport.’
