Prestwick Airport had another sharp fall in passengers in January. Just 103,188 passengers used the airport during the month, down 22% on the same month lasy year. In the 10 months to the end of January 1,488,638 passengers used Prestwick, down 26% on the same period last year.
Flights in the month were affected by the very bad weather, although Prestwick benefited from this in some cases, as planes bound for other airports diverted to the hub. Local rival Glasgow Airport saw fall by 12.2% in January.
