A cycle ride and barbecue is going to be held by Stansted campaigners this week. Stop Stansted Expansion (SSE) has organised a holiday cycle ride and barbecue for children, their families and friends on Thursday (August 19).
The Flitch Way Cycle Ride runs along the former railway line that once carried trains between Dunmow and Bishop’s Stortford. Entry to the ride, which starts and ends at The Station House, Takeley, is free but participants must bring their own bike.
Those taking part can opt for a 9 or 4.5 mile ride, departing any time between 11:00 and 12:00 noon. For further information contact SSE on (01279) 870558 or visit their website.
